Harry Connick, Jr YOUR SONGS Cd Giveaway!

Recently I was given the chance to listen to Harry Connick Jr's new cd release "Your Songs." I was pretty excited when I received the cd as I am a big fan of Harry Connick Jr. I really was first introduced to this musician/actor when I saw him in the movie "Hope Floats" but then I discovered his music. Oh his music! It is so peaceful and relaxing!

It had been some time since I was able to sit, relax, and enjoy some good music. So I put on the cd and had a very relaxing afternoon enjoying the sounds of Harry Connick Jr. I think what I like the most about it is that I already know all the songs, but loved to hear Harry's version of them. I know this is a cd to remain in my collection!

Tonight while in Walmart, I had run out of time and still wanted to make a trip to Target but it didn't look that like was going to happen. Since I had my Target store coupons with me, I decided to check with the cashier to see if they would accept them. And sure enought they do! What a nice surprise!

So I found Skippy Peanut Butter for $2.00 a jar and had a Target coupon for $1.00 off, so I got my peanut butter for a dollar a jar! What a great deal!

So don't forget that Walmart accepts competitors coupons, so be sure to watch out for all the deals!

Free Hefty One-zip bags at Walmart

It has been brought to my attnetion that Walmart has Heft One-Zip storage bags priced at $1.00 each! This is exciting news as just last week I found that my local grocery store had "blinkies" for $1.00 off one Hefty storage bag. So using these coupons on the new prices equals FREE storage bags! I may have to snag a few more blinkies next time I am at the grocery store to stock up on even more!

Great Target Deal!

So today I got this great Target coupon book in the mail. I was pleasantly surprised at the coupons I found inside! There are two that really caught my eye though...

1. $4 off Gillette Fusion Razon

2. Free 16oz bag of Cat Chow Healthful Life cat food

Since Target will honor a MFG coupon along with the Target coupon, a great deal can be found with combining the $4 off Gillette Fusion Razon Target coupon with the $4 off MFG coupon that was found in the P&G flyer a few weeks back. More than likely this will result in a free razor!

And also, who couldn't use a free bag of cat food for the fur-babies!

So be sure to keep your eyes posted for this great coupon booklet. I just recieved mine today, so if you haven't got yours yet, don't be discouraged! It's probably still on the way!

Moist Fudgy Brownies!

I came across this great brownie recipe on a blog I check out everday, Focusing on the Bible, Family, and the Great Deals, and I thought I would share it with you! This recipe is super easy and an inexpensive alternative to boxed brownie mix. I have made this three times in the last 3 weeks, they are a big hit in our house!

Moist Fudgy Brownies
for 9x13 pan (1/2 for 8 " pan)

1 Cup Melted butter
1 Cup cocoa (unsweetened)
2 Cups Sugar
4 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
1 Cup Flour
1/2 tsp salt

Combine butter and cocoa; stir. Add sugar; stir. add eggs one at a time; stir. Add vanilla, flour, and salt; stir. Pour in 9x13 greased pan.

Bake at 350 for 30 min.!

You can cut the ingredients in half and make in a 8x8 inch pan too!
